Every Director builds their own horror movie from 16 unique selections. At every draft position, each Director can select one option from any of the 16 tiers; the tiers are not drafted in numerical order. Some tiers offer a new mix of choices every draft, some stay fixed, and others come with surprises no Director can control.
Killer
The threat your entire movie must face.
Main Role
The character at the center of your story.
Opening Victim
The character whose fate introduces the danger.
Sidekick
Choose the role your Sidekick will play in the story. You select the function. Your completed draft determines the character.
Harbinger
The one who senses the danger coming and sounds the warning.
Exposition Character
The one who brings the crucial information, discoveries, and revelations.
Catalyst
What happens to the Opening Victim and sets the story in motion.

Ending
The outcome that decides how the film concludes.
Holiday / Cultural Event
The holiday, tradition, or cultural occasion surrounding the events on screen.
Era
The time period governing technology, aesthetics, and social backdrop.
Budget
You decide when to approach the Financiers. They decide how much money your film receives.
